About the Owners

Paul and Melanie Harris purchased Snow Squall in April 2005 with the intent of providing an elegant and relaxing experience for their guests.

Paul “Chopper” Harris is a classically trained chef with an HND in hotel management and catering administration. Paul has worked for some of the finest restaurants in Paris, Switzerland, and most recently in Bermuda where he co-owned and operated the Robin Hood Pub and Restaurant.

A native of Massachusetts and an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan, Melanie worked in the IT industry internationally for 20 years, living in Brazil, Mexico, and most recently Bermuda. Melanie is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified yoga teacher and redesigned the barn on the property into a yoga studio and spa to offer yoga classes and healing therapies to the guests at Snow Squall and to the local community in the Midcoast.
